PATHS TO PEACE

1989 - 1999

As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the One World Festival a number of large earthenware pots have been placed around New Mills and Birch Vale.  They have been filled with compost and fresh herbs grown for community use and can be linked by a walk 'Paths to Peace'.

The pots are placed in interseting and beautiful parts of New Mills and its surrounding area.

Create your own walk by going as far and wide as you wish.  For example you can enjoy the beauty of the Goyt  Valley Way and visit Pot 4, or you can take in the stunning views of Kinder (Pot 6) outside New Mills Golf Club.
